Particular nutritional purpose: a) support of renal function in the case of chronic or temporary renal insufficiency; b) reduction of ingredient and nutrient intolerances.
Essential nutritional characteristics: a) low level of phosphorus and restricted level of protein but of high quality (lamb and sea fish with a high biological value); b) use of carefully selected sources of protein and carbohydrates (lamb, fish and rice with a high biological value).
Recommended length of time: a) chronic renal insufficiency: initially up to 6 months; temporary renal insufficiency: 2 to 4 weeks; b) reduction of ingredient and nutrient intolerances: 3 to 8 weeks. If signs of intolerance disappear this feed can be used initially up to one year. It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. It is not necessary to gradually introduce the food.
Serve at room temperature. Store in a cool, dry place. Once open keep refrigerated.
The factory can also process other meat from aquatic or terrestrial animals.
