Monoprotein: formulated with an alternative single source of animal protein: fish protein high in biological value and bioavailability. Limited ingredients formula: made with only a few select and high quality ingredients to minimise the risk of food intolerance. Microcapsule Technology: microencapsulation protects the natural principles both against external agents (light, heat, oxidation and humidity), and also against reactions that occur during digestion to guarantee stability and gradual absorption by the entire intestine (slow release).
Castanea sativa: is prized for its tannin content.Tannins are a category of polyphenols that are believed to have significant antioxidant properties, which are useful for the intestinal mucosa and have astringent properties.
Plantago psyllium: the mucilages in psyllium have a protective effect and help to normalise intestinal peristalsis.
Feeding guidelines: see table. Particular nutritional purpose:a) reducing intestinal absorption problems; b) compensation of poor digestion, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency; c) reducing intolerance to ingredients and nutrients. Essential nutritional characteristics: a) highly digestible food with sodium and potassium in greater amounts; b) highly digestible ingredients; c) selected sources of protein and carbohydrates (fish and rice with a high biological value). Recommended period of use: a) up to 12 weeks; b) initially up to 12 weeks and lifetime in the case of chronic pancreatic insufficiency; c) 3 to 8 weeks. If signs of intolerance disappear this feed can be used initially up to one year. It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use and before extending the period of use.
